Special Session

Global management of river basins and adaptation to climate change

This special session aims to share knowledge and feedback on the global management of river basins, which includes all activities impacting water resources and biodiversity. It includes integrated water resources management, which aims to reconcile the multiple uses of water and ensure sustainable management of water resources and the environment. It also implies the need for adaptation to climate change, which would have multiple impacts on watersheds, including changes in hydrological regimes and rainfall, which are expected to increase the risk of floods or droughts and affect the availability of water for ecosystems, agriculture, hydropower production, and human consumption.

This session is an opportunity to welcome six Moroccan and French experts who will share their knowledge and experience.

Chairman : Mohamed SINAN
