GUIDELINES FOR YOUR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Your abstract must be submitted through the Online Submission Form on this webpage. Each author can submit a maximum of 2 abstracts. Please note that only one author can be the presenter. Also note that for the abstract to be included in the congress, the presenting author of each accepted abstract must be fully registered at the indicated time. Your abstract must be inserted in the text box of the Online Submission Form.
Your abstract cannot be more than 500 words. Please make sure you select the theme with the subtheme to which your abstract belongs as well as your presenting preference. Please note that the Scientific Committee reserves the right to decide on the final form of the presentation. A submission receipt is automatically sent to the corresponding author right after submission. Should you not receive this email, please contact the Technical Secretariat, so we can make sure your submission went through.
Opportunity for Publication in a Special Issue of IJRBM
- We are excited to announce an exclusive opportunity for participants of the IAHR Africa Congress 2024 ! Upon submission of extended abstracts, selected authors will be invited to submit full papers for publication in a special issue of IJRBM (International Journal of River Basin Management).
Submission Process:
- Submit an extended abstract for presentation at the IAHR Africa Congress 2024.
- Upon acceptance by the Scientific Committee, selected authors will be notified to submit full papers for consideration in the special issue.
Special Issue Details:
- Publication Venue: IJRBM (International Journal of River Basin Management)
- Issue Timeline: Mid to end-2025
- Number of Papers: Approximately 10 to 12
- Paper Length: Up to 8 pages each.
- Peer Review Process:
- Full papers will undergo rigorous peer review by the editorial board of IJRBM.
- Authors will receive feedback and guidance throughout the review process.

Paper and Abstract

Structure
Introduction, Methodology, Results, Conclusion. Each section should be succinct and informative.
Language
Abstracts must be in English.
Formatting
Font: Times New Roman, size 12. Spacing: Single-line. Margins: Standard (1 inch on all sides).
File Format
Submit in Microsoft Word or PDF.
Objective and Scope
Clearly state the aim and applicability to the congress themes.
Originality and Ethics
Submissions must be original. Cite all sources to avoid plagiarism.
